The Wilson Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) is dedicated to the development of our youth in the community both on and off the playing field. In an effort to help develop the youth of our community, and prepare them for the future, each year WYSA offers an annual scholarship award to one male and one female high school senior.
All applications for the award will be reviewed by the Board of WYSA, and the winners will be chosen based on the combination of data received with their application as follows, in no particular order:
GPA
Essay. grammar, spelling, content
Letters of reference and character on and off the field
Community service
The scholarship fund consist of two scholarships totaling $1,000. One for $500.00 to a male player, and one for $500.00 to a female player. The Deadline for submitting the application is March 31st.
Specific Scholarship Guidelines: - Applicants must have participated in at least three fall soccer seasons with WYSA. - Applicants must be residing within the limits of the Wilson Area School District their entire senior year of high school. (Not necessarily graduating form Wilson Area High School). - Applicants must submit an essay, with at least 500 words, about his / her experience while playing for the WYSA.
